Perspective from our Families

As both a mother and a teacher, my standards for child care were extremely high. However, A Mother’s Touch was able to exceed my expectations. For over ten years, I have known on a daily basis that I leave my children in a safe and caring environment, with a substantial and standards-driven curriculum, and with an enthusiastic, creative and nurturing staff. I emphatically recommend AMT to those who are looking for a daycare where you and your child can feel a sense of community and belonging, a daycare where the staff feels like family—a daycare where it feels like home. - Eileen H.

When we first started at A Mother's Touch Learning Center in August 2006, we were looking for ‘before and after school care’ for our daughter Lauren, an 11-year-old child with Downs Syndrome. A friend of a friend referred us to AMT, and it was a match made in heaven. The center has a convenient location and wonderful, caring staff. My feelings about the center may be summarized like this: the staff love Lauren, my wife and I love the staff and director. When Lauren became older, the director went the extra mile for Lauren to amend the center's license to accommodate for Lauren's needs. This is not how one treats clients; this is how one treats family. On her 19th birthday, the director asked us if Lauren would like to volunteer at the center. We agreed, and Lauren has been volunteering ever since. Next year, Lauren will turn 22 years old. She has been offered a permanent volunteer position, which has made all of us very happy. Thank you, A Mother's Touch, for 10 wonderful years. - Victor O.

Educational Philosophy

A Mother’s Touch offers before and after-school care so you can have peace of mind knowing that your child is in a safe, engaging, and enriching environment.

Our program provides transportation to and from neighborhood schools and corresponds with local school calendars. Within a club-like environment, our school-age program offers a balance of social and independent activities to begin, extend, or rejuvenate from a full day of learning. Different facets of our space allow your child to explore his or her interests by participating in science experiments, art, music, games, and outdoor play. Quiet areas allow your child to unwind by reading a book or listening to music. Teachers are available to assist your child with homework so that you can spend more quality time with your family at home.

This program is currently being offered at our Arlington Heights location only.
